Ocean City

Ahhh, the beach.  Where else can you get up and watch the sun rise and feel the calmness of the earth around you.  2 weeks ago I headed to Ocean City MD for a little getaway from the everyday hustle and bustle.  Below is why I love Photography so much.  You are able to capture the feelings and emotions that I got to experience in real life.  Hope you enjoy...

Morning walk on the boardwalk at 5:30am
As the sun started coming up...

Can I say anymore?
My niece Clara had her first dip in the ocean.  Don't you love the bikini!!!
I love this next set.

And to end this post, Little Clara in the pool.  Too cute!

Pocono Family Vacay - 6-08

A couple of weeks ago the Mattern Family headed to the Poconos for a family vacation.  We went with Rob's parents, his sister and our niece, Clara and nephew, Coleman.  We had a really good weekend and of course had to get the cameras out to photograph these two adorable kids.  I am not being biased either!

This is Cole.  You may be wondering about the mark between his little eyes.  He had a run in with a porch swing and had to get stitches.  He's such a little trooper though.  His eyes are so telling!

Can these expressions get any better?

Uriah Sollenberger Turned One!

Meet Uriah, the cutest little boy who just turned 1 on May 5th.  His parents are dear friends of mine whom I've known for a very long time.  They celebrated his birthday on June 1st and invited me to take pictures of the event.  They had a picnic at Lancaster County Park with all of their family and friends.  I have to say, that Uriah had a blast.  He loved getting his pictures taken.  What a ham!

This is Uriah getting ready to take his first bite of cake.  He was very timid.  Didn't know what to do with a whole cake to himself...
After a little bit, Uriah wasn't too shy anymore
We then went and took some photo's of the little guy and his parents.

This is Donna and Nate.  They are such a happy family!
I love this one!

One of the last shots of the day...  How precious

Lisa Kauffman - Portrait

I did a portrait shoot on Sunday morning with Lisa.  She is an independent contractor for 4 national staffing agencies.  She works with product promotion, events and has just ventured in to band promoting.  She will be helping The Sleeping World, the band I recently joined and will be helping me promote the photography business.  If you ever need her help, call her!!!  717-341-7331.

We decided to do the shoot in downtown Lancaster.  She loves construction, so we started off at the old Watt & Shand building.  Lisa is in the bottom left hand corner of this picture.

We then walked around Central Market and found a couple of cool places to shoot!

Classic!
Lisa saw this ladder used in other photos and wanted me to use it in hers too.  She fits the part, don't you think?
This was my all time favorite of the whole shoot!  I love how the colors came out and Lisa looks HOT, HOT, HOT!
and the final shot of the day...  We were walking back to our cars in the parking lot and we saw this great place right in front of us.  I love the different color doors!
Thanks so much Lisa.  I had a great time photographing you.  I look forward to you helping me in the future!

Mike & Brandy's Wedding - 5.31.08

I had the pleasure of being the 2nd photographer at Mike & Brandy's wedding on Saturday. I worked with Kelly Metz from Metz Photography. What a good looking couple! They made pictures really easy to take. Although they were calling for tornados, Brandy and Mike were determined to keep the wedding on, and it turned out to be a beautiful day! Once the rain stopped in the morning, there wasn't another drop. The ceremony and reception were held at the Eicher Arts Center in Ephrata. Below are a few of my favorites.
Hope you all enjoy...

Some details... The cake, the lamps & the table settings...
The flowers...

And, meet the bride and groom!

All of the girls...
And the boys...
During the ceremony.
And after. Mike couldn't wait to get his hands on his new wife!
A toast at the reception...
Love their expressions during the best man's toast!
And, I love this one! Mike is serenading her with "It's your love" by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. She had tears in her eyes the whole time...
First dance.
Guests dancing...
And Mike doing the Humpty Dance...
To end this post...
Thank you so much for letting me be part of your special day. I wish you both a very happy marriage.
